30 September

I guess a lot of people had forgotten all about the 30 S PKI. I remember when i was a little kid, my dad took me n my sis to the movie. Guess what movie that we watched? Yup, the 30 S PKI!
I still remember vividly how terrified i was the whole time and i kept begging my dad to take me home.
After that i swear myself that i would never see that movie ever again, until highschool teacher gave me the assigment to make the review of that movie. Worst assignment ever, i'd rather took the knife and cut some frog to learn its anatomy!
When i was a kid, i didn't understand why my dad would let me saw that horrifying movie (i still consider it as one of the box office horror movie ever made, competing with Saw).
As i grew up i began to know more about my dad. One thing which i admire about him and the reason he took me to see the movie, is his patriotic soul.
He would make sure his girls would never forget about their identity as Indonesian -though half.
So, i'm glad that they decided to stop airing that movie on national television. And as my dad, i guess he learned better to take us to the museum instead. Not the Lubang Buaya, cause i freaked out, but more subtle museum.
